The United States and its allies have asked people to leave the airport in Kabul today. Due to fear of terrorist attacks by IS militants Western forces rushed to evacuate as many people as possible before the Aug. 31 deadline.
Meanwhile, pressure to evacuate thousands of foreigners and Afghans who aided Western countries during the 20-year war with the Taliban has intensified. The U.S. military and all its allies will depart Kabul airport next week.
